Since its foundation, the Orchester im Treppenhaus has been a pioneer when it comes to newly conceived concert formats. Both through its productions and with its content, it has made a considerable mark on the avant-garde classical music scene and continues to surprise with its concepts to this day. The ideas never seem to run out, and yet the ensemble manages not only to constantly reproduce itself, but to produce creative and reflective concert formats anew each time. It enriches the Detect Classic Festival with no less than three productions: DISCO, DARK RIDE and an emergency concert.
